The Drudge Report is posting a link about MySpace Phishing . Ouch MySpace, you know the saying that "no publicity" is bad publicity. Well in this case, this publicity sucks, and its great for Facebook (which is mostly spam free).
MySpace phising and zip/email submits like the $500 Macy Gift Card are hardly new. This form of marketing have been going on for years, since the very inception of MySpace. It recently became a hot topic a year or so ago in regards to profile, comment, and bulletin spamming.
I personally know a handful of people that have made hundreds of thousands of dollars through MySpace Marketing (notice I'm not calling it spam) - because it's not really spam, its marketing! |
